In addition to providing support for programs identified by the Foundation’s Board of Directors and Task Force, the Community Grants program was established to support the many local organizations currently doing important work for the benefit of the residents of Muhlenberg County.
The Foundation sets aside funds for this competitive grants program annually. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, churches, public schools and government entities are invited to submit applications for new or expanded projects that address the educational, civic and cultural needs of the county. Awards are determined based on applications submitted as well as interviews and site visits.
Grants are considered quarterly with final decisions this year made by June 30, 2021.
The 2020-2021 Deadlines for submission of grant applications are:
August 10, 2020 for grants awarded in late September
November 2, 2020 for grants awarded in early December
February 15, 2021 for grants awarded in late March
May 17, 2021 for grants awarded in late June
