Peggy Williams

Peggy Williams was born in Martwick, KY, a small mining community in Muhlenberg County. She attended a 2-room school through the 8th grade, and then transferred to Drakesboro High School where she graduated in 1960. Peggy began her career in a law office that same year and continued in that profession for 16 years while taking college classes where she could, when she could. In 1976, she began her banking career. Shortly thereafter, Peggy enrolled and completed the Kentucky School of Banking, and later graduated from LSU Graduate School of Banking. She retired in January 2019 as Western Kentucky Regional President from Old National Bank.

Peggy has served her community in various capacities throughout the years. She is the past President of the Muhlenberg County Chamber of Commerce, Board member of the Muhlenberg County Opportunity Center, and Advisory Committee member for Madisonville Community College. Peggy served as a Foundation Board member until December 2020, and continues to serve as an original member of the Felix E. Martin Jr. Foundation Advisory Council. Most recently, Peggy has spent her time in Bremen, KY, serving those impacted by the December 10, 2021, tornado as the co-manager of the Tornado Supply Center, aiding those impacted by the devastating event.

In her free time, Peggy enjoys classic cars (particularly her 1936 Chevy Business Coupe), golf and basketball. She also loves spending time with family and friends who are “chosen” family.
